Ambassador Committee
Purpose: Ambassadors serve as representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, fostering relationships with members and supporting the CEO in engagement efforts. Responsibilities include attending events, serving as a point of contact for chamber-related information, and assisting with volunteer coordination.
Commitment: Meets monthly on the third Tuesday at 8:00 AM. Hybrid format—both in-person and virtual options available. Ambassadors are assigned chamber members through a “buddy” system to enhance personal connections, with a commitment to check in with their assigned members every other month.
Events Committee
Purpose: Plan and coordinate chamber events, including monthly luncheons, Women’s Conference and special gatherings.
Commitment: Meets monthly on the third Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Hybrid format—both in-person and virtual options available.
Marketing & Communications Committee
Purpose: Develop a strategic marketing plan for the Chamber, create promotional materials for special events as needed, and collaborate with the Events Committee to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
Commitment: Meets monthly on the third Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Hybrid format—both in-person and virtual options available.
Farmers Market Committee
Purpose: Assist in planning and logistics for the Farmers Market, including special event coordination, volunteer engagement, and market-day operations.
Commitment: Meets on the first Monday of each month at 11:00 AM via Zoom.

Government Affairs Committee
Purpose: Stay informed on legislative matters by attending East King Chamber Coalition (EKCC) meetings at the Bellevue Chamber. This coalition, comprising 11 local chambers, collaborates to develop legislative proposals for state representatives to present at the annual legislative session in Olympia. Committee members represent the Sammamish Chamber in these discussions.
Commitment: Attend EKCC monthly meetings on the fourth Thursday. Hybrid format—both in-person and virtual options available. Provide the CEO with meeting summaries for inclusion in the chamber newsletter.
Professional Development Committee
Purpose: Develop and organize professional development workshops and learning opportunities tailored to chamber members. Responsibilities include securing speakers, coordinating venues, and planning workshop logistics.
Commitment: Meets monthly, with times and dates varying based on the workshop schedule.
