In this episode of Chamber Chat, we visit Remlinger Farms and sit down with co-owner Nathan Sherfey to learn more about the history, growth, and future of this beloved family farm.
Nathan shares the story of Remlinger Farms, which began in 1965 when his grandparents, Gary and Bonnie Remlinger, opened a roadside produce stand. What started as a small family operation has grown into a 350-acre destination welcoming more than 200,000 visitors each year—while remaining a family-owned and operated working farm.
We talk with Nathan about growing up in the family business, how Remlinger Farms has evolved over the years, recent changes and additions to the farm, and what it takes to continue building on his grandparents’ legacy.
And, of course, we talk about fall at Remlinger Farms! Nathan gives us a look at the farm’s annual Harvest Festival, the role pumpkins have played in the Remlinger story from the very beginning, and why generations of families continue to visit the farm each year!
