On October 17th, the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Member Meeting & Awards Luncheon, sponsored by The Port of Seattle. The event saw an incredible turnout, with several distinguished guest speakers. Representatives from the City of Sammamish, Miryam Laytner and Jackie Beliel, provided an important update on the city’s Comprehensive Plan. Additionally, Dr. Jon Holmen, Superintendent of the Lake Washington School District (LWSD), and Heather Tow-Yick, Superintendent of the Issaquah School District (ISD), shared updates on the levies and bonds up for election this November.
Chamber Executive Director Julie Honn gave a comprehensive Year in Review presentation, highlighting the Chamber’s accomplishments and milestones over the past year. Julie also presented awards to three outstanding members for their excellence in the community:
- Community Impact Award: Sammamish Library
- New Business of the Year Award: Club Pilates of Sammamish
- Chamber Member of the Year Award: KeyBank of Sammamish
We are grateful for the engagement and talent of our community members and look forward to another exciting year of collaboration and growth!
